Shwepankhine village is located towards the north-western side of the S&K mine-site is included as one of the more impacted villages due to the loss of lands. In 2019 the Hninsitaung Mountain areas inside the mine lease boundaries were assumed by the tenant, and farmers were provided with additional relocation subsidies. Crop benefits, as well as an additional 40 jobs within the mine, were offered by village selection for the impacted farmer families.  Shwepankhine villagers are primarily agricultural settlers.

A reasonable budget is provided to this village from the CSR annual fund, which was significantly increased for the 2020 budgets due to the additional acres of land relocated to expand the planned mining facilities. The Shwepankhine village administrator, U Zaw Htay, in coordination with the organized 5-Member CSR committee, agreed to have the budget from MEHL and MYTCL allocated for the donation of the construction of a water storage tank with a fence, construction of a social building with a garage and purchasing the plot of land for the social building with garage. Construction of the water storage tank with a fence is currently under progress and the oversight managed by the village’s 5-member CSR committee. The total amount for this construction is 15,070,000 MMK. The other two projects are under consideration for planning due to the Covid crisis at hand.
